Piercing

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to book an appointment?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but due to frequent high demand, we recommend taking advantage of the option to make a Reservation, even for jewelry changes. This way, you can avoid waiting or potential refusal.

How much does it cost?

The prices of individual procedures can be found in the Price list section. The price includes comprehensive customer care and jewellery replacement after healing.

Does it hurt?

Pain during the procedure is individual, but an experienced piercer manages the technique to make the procedure as quick and painless as possible. The vast majority of our customers share the same opinion after the procedure, namely that the piercing hurt far less than they expected.

How long does it take to heal?

The average healing time for a lobe or tongue piercing is 4 weeks, septum piercings take around 6 weeks to heal, and eyebrow and lip piercings take 10 weeks. Nose piercings take about 3 months to heal, ear cartilage piercings take between 2 and 4 months depending on the type of piercing. Navel and nipples take 4-6 months to heal. The healing time is particularly dependent on proper care.

How should I take care of my piercing?

We consider antibacterial soap to be the basic care for external piercings, we recommend a sea salt solution to promote healing and an antibacterial solution to ward off infection. Everything can be found in the Sortiment section. Every customer automatically receives care information from us in spoken and written form.

Do you use needles or a piercing gun?

In any good quality professional studio, a piercer will not use a piercing gun as it is an unhygienic and totally inappropriate method where the skin is not pierced but punctured with a blunt jewel which then clamps the puncture site and makes subsequent cleaning impossible. For all piercings we use only disposable sterile Braun needles, which minimize trauma and allow the use of jewelry suitable for the piercing.

What material do you use?

All of the jewellery we use for new piercings is made from certified Grad 23 titanium. We do not use surgical steel, which can cause an allergic reaction, and we also avoid bioplastic, which has a coarser surface than titanium and the dirt that is produced during the healing process sticks to it to a much greater extent. All jewellery is sterilised, the sterilisers are tested daily and undergo an annual specialised inspection.

I have my jewelry. Can I bring it in?

If the jewellery is suitable for the intended piercing, it can be brought in for sterilisation at least one day before the procedure.

I'm not yet 15/18 years old? Will you give me a piercing?

We only perform piercings on minors under the age of 15 when accompanied by a legal guardian. Minors between the ages of 15 and 18 can have a piercing with a written consent and signature of a legal guardian (download HERE). We recommend navel piercing from the age of 15, genital and nipple piercing is only performed after the age of 18.

Do you have certifications and permits from health authorities?

Yes, we hold all the necessary certifications and permits from the health authorities and the sanitary station.

Punky

Piercing

Punky, a talented piercer and team member of the legendary Tribo studio since its opening in Klimentska Street in 2000, has brought his own unique story to the world of bodypiercing and with his dedication and love for the craft, he has become a respected expert who has won the favour of a wide variety of customers from all over the world.

Punky's journey to becoming a body piercer began in seventh grade, when, following the example of the punks from the comic strip Rebolling Street 7, he pierced his septum with a sewing needle to show his friends at school what he's got. He then spent the following years piercing himself and his mates at home and in pubs, until he bumped into Tribe co-owner Jarda Králíček, who introduced him to professional bodypiercing. That's when he understood the importance of responsibility and a rational approach, which he never stopped following and thanks to that he became a piercer who understands his work, doesn't go to unnecessary extremes and his priority is only the right piercing in the right place.

His specialty lies in the precise execution of piercings in places that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also ensure seamless healing. Punky refuses to perform dangerous or pointless piercings and emphasizes safety and care for his customers' health. His material of choice for fresh piercings is hypoallergenic titanium, which minimizes the risk of allergic reactions. Punky is dedicated to different types of piercings, but rejects trends that could compromise proper piercing healing. He prefers the simple, classic style of traditional body piercing jewelry, yet he notes the variety in design and likes to recommend ornamental or unusual jewelry for healed piercings.

Punky is known for his attention to detail and symmetry, as well as his professional approach, accuracy and speed, with which he has served thousands of satisfied customers from all corners of the planet.
